Super-special and wonderful little girl

Addie is going to be a big sister in August. Like her mother, she will likely feel conflicted about sharing even a fraction of the attention she now gets.  I am reminded of a poem by the wonderful late Shel Silverstein:

My mom says I'm her sugarplum.
My mom says I'm her lamb.
My mom says I'm completely perfect
Just the way I am.
My mom says I'm a super-special wonderful
terrific little guy.
My mom just had another baby.
Why?

So, so true. I am confident Addie will learn tobe the best big sister ever... just like her mom did (minus stuffing a sock into her sister's mouth).

Arctic Texas Photos

What a crazy few days.  The good news is John saved a bunch on green fees.  The bad news is ... well, nothing that bad, unless your name is Jerry.  Above are pics of backyard barbecue, walking my wonderful neighborhood in snow covering thick ice.  One of the pics shows a local water fountain.  Other pics show Jenny's invention of plastic shoe covers.  Adults used plastic grocery bags, Addie used sandwich bags.  Very memorable.

Could I get some chips over here...

My brother John's salsa is gold. People stash it away, not telling others they have it. He made a gallon and a half. We "let" Jenny take some to her in-laws and to Michael. His birthday is tomorrow so we felt generous. Now having second thoughts....
